IDIDIT Steering Column - 1160810010

This retrofit column is designed to fit your Ford Truck and does NOT require modification to your original vehicle to install. This GM Style column features a GM top shaft and a 3 7/8" Wiring Plug. Pre-welded underdash mounts are included with all 1978-79 columns and are designed to fit your application. Use Borgeson joints to install your new steering column in place of the old. Using an adaptor, add an aftermarket steering wheel and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original. The shift pattern on these columns allow you to use either a 3 or 4-speed automatic transmission. The 1978-79 column utilizes the original transmission mounted neutral safety switch. A gear shift indicator is an option, but not included. A shift linkage (new or original) is required for installation and will attach to the lower shift arm provided on the column.
